Getting to Porto Santo
Porto Santo has a small relaxed airport with some international connections. There are also regular flights to and from Madeira, and a daily ferry link to Madeira.
Taxis are always available at the airport and the ferry terminal. The taxi fare to the apartments is approximately 5 Euros.
Traveling via Madeira gives the opportunity of a two-centre holiday on contrasting islands - experience the bustling lushness of Madeira as well as the relaxing warmth of Porto Santo.
Flights
UK to Madeira
There are many direct flights from the UK to Madeira. Easyjet offers daily flights from London Gatwick and Stansted, and TAP and Thomson also fly from Gatwick. There are also several flights from regional airports, including Globespan from Edinburgh, and Thomson from Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, East Midlands, Cardiff, Luton, Bournemouth and Exeter. Thomas Cook and First Choice also fly from from Manchester, and Easyjet from Bristol.
Madeira to Porto Santo
There are up to five flights daily from Madeira to Porto Santo. The flight time is approximately 15 minutes, and is operated by SATA.
Ferry
The Porto Santo Line operates a daily passenger and car ferry (the Lobo Marinho) to and from Madeira. The passage time is approximately two and a half hours. The ferry usually leaves the port in Funchal, Madeira at 8am, and departs Porto Santo at 6pm for the return passage.
